Leaving a Legacy

For many adults, especially those with limited resources or in difficult circumstances, education is a pathway to a brighter future.  We have first-hand knowledge of the value of higher education that led to careers and opportunities for service unavailable through other means.  We are grateful to have found purpose in our lives through an investment in education.

The foundation supports programs that enhance students’ resilience and persistence on their way to earning educational credentials.  Educational opportunity should be available to everyone.  It is our hope that the foundation can open doors to education, celebrate the American experience, give additional meaning to our lives, and help others to achieve success in life.

About JCFF

The Julian-Carver Family Foundation, Inc. (JCFF) was formed as a corporation in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on July 3, 2018.

The corporation is organized exclusively for educational purposes, specifically for making grants to non-profit organizations that qualify under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) as tax-exempt public charities or Type I, Type II, or functionally integrated Type III supporting charities.

The JCFF Board of Directors manages the operations, funds, and property of the foundation.  The board is committed to serving the mission of the foundation.

The foundation provides grant funding to qualifying organizations that provide  academic support or engagement strategies that are expected to lead to student success. Success is defined as persistence in or completion of educational programs.  Projects or programs that the foundation funds could support services, student activities and organizations, academic initiatives, and other efforts designed to enable students to persist and receive certificates, degrees, or diplomas.

Grants may be made to specified states in the southern United States as determined by the JCFF Board of Directors. Grant decisions are made by the foundation’s board.  This is the only activity engaged in by the foundation.
