Grantmaking

The foundation makes grants to non-profit entities to support activities that assist academic progress or extracurricular engagement expected to support student success.  Success is defined as persistence in or completion of educational programs.  Distributions to qualifying organizations in the southern region of the United States support programs, services, student activities and organizations, initiatives, and other efforts to enable students to persist and receive certificates, degrees, or diplomas.

Grants are made to organizations with educational purposes in the states of Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia. Grant decisions are made by the JCFF Board of Directors.  This is the only activity engaged in by the foundation.
